Grunge Night

Grunge Night at The Barrelhouse Ballroom

There’s a good argument for hearing Ten in order. The songs you know best have different weight when the less familiar ones get their turn, and the way one track leaves off can change how you hear the next. At Grunge Night, Jeremy Would Let Me Drown takes on that whole Pearl Jam record. Grunge Night comes to The Barrelhouse Ballroom in Chattanooga on Friday, January 29, 2027, at 9:00 p.m.

If you came to grunge through a playlist, this is a different way to meet it. An album has room to be loud in one place and uneasy or quiet in another. That contrast is part of what made people want to play the record again when it was over. A tribute can make you appreciate the less obvious tracks, especially the ones you rarely reach for when you’re picking just one song.

Take the friend who still insists you had to hear the album from the beginning. You’ve probably spent enough time arguing about which track was best. Give yourselves an evening to listen to a tribute band make its way through the record and see if either of you changes your mind.

Look up tickets for Grunge Night and hear Ten from the start.
