Plan Your Visit to Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Auditorium
Which hall and address should I look for?
Use 399 McCallie Avenue for Memorial Auditorium. The Walker Theatre shares that address, so match the room printed on your ticket to the signs or ask staff on arrival. If your booking says Tivoli Theatre, use that building’s separate Broad Street address.
The auditorium is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The McCallie Avenue building opened in 1924 and is associated with architect R. H. Hunt. The building’s history can help explain why both the auditorium name and the name of its smaller theatre appear in directions.
How do I choose seats in the main hall?
Use the main auditorium chart attached to your event. In a large performance hall, the seating area matters as much as row number. Compare the position of the section relative to the stage, especially if you want to see the whole stage for a dance production or be nearer the performer for a concert.
Check the level and route to your row if stairs affect your choice. The chart for the upstairs Walker Theatre is for a separate room and can’t help you locate a seat in the main auditorium.
Where should I plan to park?
The venue is in downtown Chattanooga. Review the current CARTA parking map for nearby public options and give yourself time to walk from your chosen space to McCallie Avenue. If you need an easier drop-off, coordinate with your group before arrival and check any traffic or curb instructions from the event.
Who can help with access questions?
Contact the venue or its box office with the name of the show, the hall and your access needs. Confirm the entrance and the route to your seat. If you’re attending with someone who uses a mobility device, ask about companion seats while comparing ticket options.
What should I have ready at entry?
Keep the performance name, date and hall handy. For ticket delivery or box office questions, use the foundation’s official instructions for the performance. Treat door times, bag rules and recording permissions as show-specific details unless the operator publishes a house rule that applies to your visit.
