About Walker Theatre

The Walker Theatre is the smaller upstairs performance room in the Memorial Auditorium building at 399 McCallie Avenue. You may also see it called the Robert Kirk Walker Theatre. Its calendar includes stand-up and live music, as well as touring shows such as Labyrinth in Concert. The hall name matters when arriving, since the larger auditorium is in the same building.

For a booking in the larger downstairs room, use the Memorial Auditorium guide.

Plan Your Visit to Walker Theatre

How do I find the Walker inside the building?

Use McCallie Avenue for directions and follow signs or staff instructions for the Walker. If two groups are attending different shows in the building, choose a meeting point that names the hall as well as the address. The Tivoli Theatre Foundation name can appear on events in more than one building.

The facility plan identifies stairs, escalators and an elevator to the theatre level. The route you use on arrival may depend on which entrance is open for your performance. If you are bringing a guest who needs the elevator, confirm that entrance before the rest of the group sets off.

What is the Walker’s layout?

The Walker facility plan describes an 851-person theatre. Use the chart for the performance to see which rows and sections are offered. For a spoken-word or stand-up show, you may want a clear view of the performer’s face. For a film-and-music show, think about your sightline to the screen as well as the stage.

Is there an elevator to the theatre?

The facility plan identifies elevator access to the Walker level. Contact the operator before the show for the current route, particularly if you need step-free access from the street all the way to your row. Ask about companion seating as part of the same conversation.

Where can I park downtown?

Use CARTA’s parking directory to plan your walk to 399 McCallie Avenue. Allow time inside the building to reach the upstairs theatre. If part of your group is being dropped off, agree on where to meet after the show and choose a legal pickup point.

What should I confirm for my show?

Check the event instructions for the performance start, door time and ticket delivery. The Walker hosts a mix of formats, so use the promoter’s instructions for recording and entry. Save the exact performance details before leaving if you’re going with people who bought separately.
