The Stolen Faces

The Stolen Faces at The Barrelhouse Ballroom

With a Grateful Dead tribute, the parts you recognize can be the beginning of the fun. You know roughly where a melody is headed, so you can spend some time listening to the players around it. The Stolen Faces make the improvisational side of the music a reason to come hear their take in person. The Stolen Faces comes to The Barrelhouse Ballroom in Chattanooga on Friday, November 27, 2026, at 8:00 p.m.

You don’t have to know the original recordings to follow the pleasure of hearing a band make space for an idea. Start with the rhythm underneath the melody. When something pulls your ear away from it, see how long you can follow that part before the tune draws you back in. That’s a good way in if you’re new to the catalog.

If you have a friend who always sends you the long version, this is a good one to share. You can follow the same tune and come away talking about different bits of playing. If the Dead is new to you, that friend already has a few things to tell you to listen for.

Check ticket options for The Stolen Faces and take the friend who never skips the jam.
