Plan Your Visit to Chattanooga Convention Center
How is the space arranged?
The center has flexible exhibition and meeting spaces. A consumer show may use open aisles with displays, while a convention can have separate rooms for scheduled sessions. Use the event’s floor plan to identify the hall, registration area and any sessions you want to attend.
If you are meeting friends, choose a specific spot on that plan. A general instruction to meet inside the Convention Center can leave people at different ends of an event.
The Boat Show organizes boat displays and dealer information around its own floor plan. If you are comparing several boats, note which dealers you want to visit before arriving and use the show map to group stops. Meeting and expo layouts can change from one event to the next.
Which street leads to the parking garage?
Drivers can enter the Convention Center garage from Carter Street or Chestnut Street. The venue lists a clearance of 7 feet 3 inches and prohibits trailers in the garage. Use the posted rates and follow the kiosk instructions. If you have an oversized vehicle, plan for another parking option before arriving.
Exhibitor loading and attendee parking serve different purposes. The Chestnut Street loading dock is for active loading and unloading. Exhibitors should follow their organizer’s move-in instructions and move vehicles after unloading.
What access features does the building have?
The Convention Center describes ramps, elevators, wide doorways and accessible restrooms. Ask the organizer about the layout for the show itself, especially if you need a particular registration entrance or access to a session room. The building’s facilities and the event’s floor arrangement are separate considerations.
Can I get there without driving?
The center links visitors to CARTA bus and shuttle information. Check current route and service hours if you are coming from a hotel or planning another stop downtown. Save the Carter Plaza address for directions and use the organizer’s instructions for the correct entry point.
