About The Signal

The Signal’s Concert Hall is part of an event complex on the grounds of the Chattanooga Choo Choo in the Southside. It hosts touring live music at 21 Choo Choo Avenue. The same complex contains a smaller room called the Parlour. Check which room the show uses before comparing tickets or making plans with friends.

If your ticket names the smaller room, use the Parlour visitor guide.

Plan Your Visit to The Signal

Which Signal address should I use?

The current venue is on Choo Choo Avenue. The Signal previously operated on Chestnut Street, so an older map, saved pin or concert photo may refer to a different building. Use the Choo Choo address and the room name when arranging a ride or sharing directions.

Is there seating in the Concert Hall?

The Signal describes a standing main floor and a seated mezzanine in the Concert Hall. Individual shows can use different configurations. Check whether the ticket type refers to general admission, a seat or another area, and use the seating information for that particular booking.

The smaller Parlour has its own capacity and configurations. A main-hall mezzanine description does not apply to a Parlour performance. If a listing uses the Signal name without the room, consult the venue’s event page.

How do I get there without relying on a parking space?

The venue recommends rideshare and identifies a designated pickup and drop-off area. Drivers can consult posted street restrictions and privately operated paid lots nearby. CARTA also identifies Shuttle Park South at 1362 Market Street next to the Chattanooga Choo Choo. Check current hours and rates before using a garage.

How can I arrange access for a show?

The Signal links to access information through The Rockin’ Chair. Confirm arrangements with the venue using the exact show and room name. If you need a seated option at a standing show, ask ahead about that specific date.

The Concert Hall FAQ identifies an accessible viewing area near the stage. Let staff know on arrival if you need that area. Ask about the route and seating arrangement in advance when making plans with someone who needs to sit throughout the show.

What should I check before buying or arriving?

The Signal’s FAQ says it does not allow tickets bought through third-party resellers or other unauthorized ticket sites. Use the ticket link on the venue’s own calendar or check with its box office before purchasing.

The venue is cashless. Age restrictions vary, and the FAQ describes parent or legal guardian requirements for some shows. Check the event instructions for IDs, bags and prohibited items. Outside food and drink are on the prohibited list.

Leave backpacks and large bags at home. The venue can search purses and smaller bags and prohibits re-entry. The line forms outdoors, so take the weather into account when deciding how early to get there.

Does door time tell me when the band starts?

The Signal says its own ticket pages generally show door time. Set times can change and may be announced on the day of the show. If you are coordinating dinner or transportation, use the latest event notice and leave room between doors and the performance.

The Signal FAQs

Does the venue take cash?

The Signal describes itself as cashless. Bring an accepted payment method if you plan to buy something inside.

Are the Concert Hall and the Parlour the same room?

They share the complex and address. The Parlour is a smaller, separately configured room.

Can I bring a professional camera?

The venue requires approved credentials for professional equipment. Recording rules can vary by performer.
