The Outsiders

The Outsiders at Tivoli Theatre - Chattanooga

Picture a line down the middle of the street. on one side, slicked hair and jeans; on the other, pressed collars and attitudes just as sharp. The Outsiders turns that old divide into something you can reach out and almost touch. At Tivoli Theatre, the messy, urgent story you remember sets up each confrontation to feel real enough to shake the room. Pick a side, or spend the evening listening to both. No one has to walk home alone.

This musical adaptation hands the Greasers and Socs each a song. sometimes ragged, sometimes rich, always pulling in a different direction. You’ll hear what sets them apart before a word is spoken. The original score by Jamestown Revival and Justin Levine makes each showdown sound like a new risk. It’s a reminder that everyone, no matter how tough they act, is just looking for someone to notice them. There’s no soundtrack like the sound coming off the stage.

Bring someone who once memorized the lines, or bring a friend who’s never met Ponyboy or Johnny at all. By the last note, both of you will find something you recognize about searching for your own place to belong.

Let real chords and live voices carry you into a night where old friends and old rivalries meet again. Look up ticket options for The Outsiders musical at Tivoli Theatre and say you were there to see it in Chattanooga.
