Vienna Light Orchestra

Vienna Light Orchestra at Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul

The first evening performance is a chance to hear what happens when five singers join a string arrangement. Follow the sound of one instrument for a while. Then let the voices take your attention and notice how the balance changes. Candlelight and illuminated trees are part of the setting at the basilica. Vienna Light Orchestra comes to Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Chattanooga on Wednesday, December 16, 2026, at 7:30 p.m.

The Christmas program includes new arrangements, so a familiar melody gives you a way to follow what changes around it. See if the strings catch your attention first or if you find yourself listening for the next entrance from the singers. There’s time to pay attention to both over the course of the evening. You can let the music set the pace for once.

If your usual December plans leave you moving from one thing to the next, give yourself an evening where you get to stay in one place and listen. Take someone who enjoys the quieter side of Christmas. You can put the rest of the week aside for the length of a concert.

Browse tickets for the December 16 evening performance and make it your midweek Christmas plan.
