Shayne Smith

Shayne Smith at The Comedy Catch

You never see a tattoo wink, but if you’re watching Shayne Smith up close, you might start to think one of his is about to. At The Comedy Catch in Chattanooga, you’re not just catching a set; you’re picking up on every eyebrow jump, every throwaway grin, and every little detail you’d miss if you were scrolling past a special at home.

Shayne’s style gets its punch by looking nothing like the voice you expect to hear. One minute, the guy with the face tattoos is sizing up his own life decisions; the next, he’s walking you through a story you think you might have heard before, right up until he swerves into something you definitely haven’t. Each bit lands differently face-to-face. there’s an invisible dare in the room, a sense that anything could happen next.

Bring along the friend who’s always trying to guess the next punchline. Chances are, they’ll be as surprised as you. A comedy show this strange and personal gives you a reason to glance sideways every so often and share that ‘are you hearing this?’ moment that only happens in the crowd, not on a couch.
